This afternoon artists on the Residency Programme met to talk about their work.
Davina and Daniel presented their work and also their ideas for making work during the residency:
1 Plant a Flower Fort : Plant seeds every foot along the coast / Carry out the action of planting seeds but don't actually plant anything creating a myth, metaphor / Plant seeds in mini plant pots along the island
2 Prison Open : work with prisoners in the open prison to : Create a postcard with the intention to sell it in the tourist shop / Create a prisononer lead tour of the island for visitors / Create a diptych video with interviews of prisoners discussing their experience of the island and close up footage of the manicured landscapes they maintain
3 Personal Tours : Research stories about specific locations on the island from residents / Create an alternative tour around the island featuring these local stories
