Yesterday afternoon a group of the artists here attended a Japanese Tea Ceremony here on the island. Or to be more precise - each Sunday practitioners of the Tea Ceremony practice in a tea room set in a fortress vault, and once a month they open up the tea room, so that members of the public can see this ceremony. We watched one member of the group perform one of the tea ceremonies - there are apparently over 200 different ways of performing this, depending on the guests present, the occasion, and season.
This afternoon Davina and Daniel commence a series of actions that will be performed each day from now to the end of our residency in the area where passengers disembark from the ferry from Helsinki.
